IMAGES OF SOME METAL SCRAPS                                             WHICH ARE YET TO BE RECYCLED
This blog is to educate us on how important waste materials could be of use in our daily lives.there are many different materials that are recyclable. this include papaer, cloth, metal, glass, plastic, certain electronic goods but this blog is going to focus more on metal scraps. it uses, possible benefits , effects  and the danger it poses to us as individuals.
When we think about metals, a lot of us think about gold, silver, bronze and platinum. However, many things we use on a daily basis are built with all kinds of different metals. For instance we regularly come into contact with aluminium, copper, mercury, lead, tin, iron, steel, etc. we have all the metals we need around us but when we went from the stone age to the digital age in what must seem like a blink of an eye to mother nature. The demand for different metals grew so fast that we are now depleting our natural resources. With todays ecological awakening,we must take a closer look at the qualities of metal we use.

Scraps are recycled materials that go through the process of which new products are created out and discarded materials.it  is also a waste that either has no economic value or only the value of its basic material. Metal Recycling is an important environmental as well as economical aspect to any metal business. Metals can be recycled and re-used an infinite amount of times, and because every metal has a specific metal point, pure metals can be derived from alloys. Recycling metals is a pivotal waste management process, as far less energy is used in recycling metals, than it is in mining them. For example, recycling ferrous metals like steel saves on average 74% of its energy, while recycling non ferrous metals like aluminum and copper save around 80-95% of their energy. The positive impact that recycling can have to our environment is immeasurably valuable for future generations to come. However, today’s recycling rates of non-ferrous and ferrous metals are at a disturbing 33% and 26%, respectively. ontent recoverable through recycling.
                                                    METAL AND ALLUMINIUM PARTS
Everywhere you go, in the homes, the streets and in the cities, there are scrap metals lying about. This is not only a health hazard but also makes the surroundings an ugly sight. Efforts, however, in the last few years have been geared towards ensuring this situation does not prevail. Scrap metal collection and recycling has become a fad nowadays and there are people that are making a living out of it. There are immense benefits to be racked from this both to the individuals, to the economy and society.
All the metal you see lying around the neighborhoods is an environmental hazard. Metal contains certain corrosive elements and harmful minerals that pollute both the soil and the environment. Just like any other litter in your compound, it can be harmful to the surrounding by emitting toxic elements that might affect you and your family. Any effort geared towards collecting these scrap metals will lead to a cleaner environment and improve the situation in your home. The recycled metal also contributes to the improvement of the environment. This reduces the amount of the wastes in the neighborhood and the intensity of toxic minerals released to the soil is minimized.

              Eases the process of disposal
Most of the people in the community do not know where to take their scrap metals. Most of them end up storing them in their compound for years while others resort to dumping them in the disposal pit. This leads to environmental degradation. However, if there are consistent and known collectors the scrap metals would be stored awaiting the collection by the dealers. Additionally, if there are companies that specialized in collection and continuously engaged the community educating them on the benefits of recycling, it would minimize the amount of scrap metals lying in the compound and in the neighborhoods. Scrap metal collection is big business today and there are people and companies that have minted millions from collection deals. Metal is in great demand and with metal reserves dwindling in most countries companies are resorting to recycling. According to experts it is also cheaper to recycle metal than to produce afresh. For these reasons anyone who deals in scrap metal currently is making colossal amount of money.
As observed, many of the manufacturing companies that specialized in metal production have resorted to recycling after discovering the immense benefits that are there. Recycling scrap metal makes business as it reduces the costs of mining, extraction and all the other processes involved in getting the final products. Recycling is infinite and the supply of scrap metal is also unlimited meaning that these companies will never go out of business.
